!!! (Chk Chk Chk) have announced their eighth album.

'Wallop', the follow up to 2017’s Shake The Shudder, will arrive on August 30. The New York dance-punk band will support the record with a world tour, including shows in Cardiff, Dublin, Galway, Huddersfield, Manchester, Leeds, York, London, Bristol and Brighton between November 20 and December 1. Tickets go on sale at 3pm on June 26.

The album features contributions from Liars frontman Angus Andrew, Maria Uzor of Sink Ya Teeth, and Glasser's Cameron Mesirow, among others. Its production, meanwhile, was handled by a few people, including Cole M.G.N., Graham Walsh, Patrick Ford and multi-instrumentalist Rafael Cohen, who said:

"We're not the kind of band that sits down and says, 'Let's make a record now. We just keep going, which is good because it leads to less of a narrative for each album."

Introducing the record and its '80s dance-pop influenced new single, Serbia Drums, on Facebook the band said:

"So yeah, it’s getting to be about that time that we drop another album. And so we give u Wallop. Our new favorite record, your new favorite record and the record UR mother/roommate loves to hate. You’ve by now worked out a choreographed dance routine or something to off the grid and made your own mask ala the UR Paranoid video and today we drop Serbia Drums. I know what you’re thinking. “But these are 3 of the most incredible songs I’ve ever heard. How can these songs all be on the same album?” Oh boy. I don’t know how to tell u this but it’s only gonna get crazier from here. I hesitate to say it’s our best record yet, cuz the last few have been fucking good. But fuck it, it’s what u say when u put out a new record. This one is fucking aces and I think ur gonna love it. U know we try as hard as we can every record and you’ll be able to tell this is a new step for us, once u hear the whole thing August 30. Oh yeah, we’re heading out on the road soon, now that we have some songs to play and we can’t wait to see u all again. Have a great summer. Stay sweet and all of the above. Xoxoxo"
