Aphex Twin, Disclosure And Skepta Lead Manchester Warehouse Project Line Up

Tuesday, 25 June 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

The first names have been announced for the 2019 edition of the Warehouse Project.

Opening on September 20 with a night put together by Aphex Twin, his first curated show, also poised to appear across seven nights this autumn are Disclosure, Nina Kraviz, Chase and Status, and Marco Carola, among others. A line up curated by grime hero Skepta, meanwhile, takes place on November 23.

Addtional hightlights come from Lee Gamble, Rian Treanor, Zuli, Aleksi Perala and Renick Bell, Maribou State, Mella Dee, Jayda G, Krystal Klear, Leon Vynehall, Moxie, Joy Orbison, Special Request, Vegyn, Space Afrika, Octavian, Flohio and Sherelle, as well as local talent. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on June 27.

The Manchester-based dance series will make its debut at a new space this year, moving from Store Street to Depot, the 10,000 capacity venue that was formerly known as the disused Mayfield railway depot, next to Piccadilly Station. Warehouse Project co-founder Sam Kandel said:

"What's happening with the launch of the Depot venue is a huge moment for the whole of Manchester. There are a huge number of people and various different institutions and networks working in true collaboration to make this a reality. After nearly 10 years of pushing and pulling to make this place base camp for Warehouse Project, it's finally happening. We can't wait."
