Ed Sheeran Unveils New Single Beautiful People Featuring Khalid

Ed Sheeran has teamed up with Khalid for a new track.
Beautiful People is the latest cut from the superstar’s forthcoming record, ‘No. 6 Collaborations Project', which is due for release on July 12.
Following up singles with Justin Bieber and Chance The Rapper, Sheeran’s team effort with the Texan Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter is once again an R&B inspired pop song, with a deep bassline and simple drum tracks laying a minimalist foundation as a springboard for the lyrics, which criticise the extravagant lives of the rich and famous: “That’s not who we are, we are not beautiful”.
Sheeran noted of the collaboration: “Khalid’s got an undeniable, soulful voice and I knew he would be perfect for this track. I think we both connect to the song in the same way and I’m really happy we got to work together.”
Its accompanying video takes two average people who were just looking for a simple holiday on a decadent voyage to a life of expensive yachts, A-List parties and private jets. In the end, though, they’d rather be themselves. Check it out below.
Sheeran is currently busy touring Europe and has a short run of hometown shows in Leeds and Ipswich planned this August. Meanwhile, Khalid embarks on his Free Spirit Tour in the UK this September, in addition to further dates in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
