The Highwomen have shared the second single from their upcoming debut album.
The country music supergroup, made up of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Natalie Hemby and Amanda Shires, will put out the self-titled record on September 6 via Low Country and Elektra Records.
Hot on the heels of their first single Redesigning Women, Crowded Table utilises each vocalist’s strengths with some beautiful harmonies. Penned by Lori McKenna in collaboration with Carlile and Hemby, atop some classic country-twanged guitars, the lyrics hope for a comfortable, quotidian life: “I want a house with a crowded table, and a place by the fire for everyone.”
In addition to the star-studded line up, the record will also feature appearances from Sheryl Crow and Jason Isbell, as well as songwriting contributions from Miranda Lambert and Ray LaMontagne.
Both Carlile and Morris have headline tour plans around North America this year, with the former's tour extending into January 2020.
