Michael Kiwanuka Plots 2020 UK Tour To Support New Album 'Kiwanuka'

Wednesday, 14 August 2019 Written by Helen Payne

Michael Kiwanuka has announced a new album.

‘Kiwanuka’ will arrive on October 25 as the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Love & Hate’. The soul singer will support the record with live dates in Southampton, Bournemouth, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Cambridge, Leicester, Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow between March 2 and 14, 2020. Tickets go on sale at 10am on August 16.

The London songwriter has also shared the delightful first cut from his new LP. You Ain’t The Problem mashes African skipped rhythms with a guitar sequence that recalls the Isley Brothers and magnetic, half-spoken lyrics.

Michael Kiwanuka also has an extensive European tour planned for autumn 2019.

Banks - III (Album Review)
Fri 19 Jul 2019
‘III’, Banks’ appropriately titled third album, has been a short while in the making but feels like the culmination of the songwriter’s more ambitious work to this point. Five years since the release of her debut LP 'Goddess' the LA artist has shifted direction within her sound, infusing her synth-heavy trip-pop aesthetic with a jaded sense of heartbreak, maturity and raw passion.
