The National Announce Live Concert Film And Accompanying EP

Monday, 19 August 2019 Written by Helen Payne

The National have announced a new concert film.

The National: I Am Easy To Find, Live From New York’s Beacon Theatre, will be released on August 23 via Amazon Prime Video. As the title suggests, the film finds the band performing their recent chart-topping album in full at one of five unique events that took place earlier this year.

Directed by La Blogothèque, it also features guests Mina Tindle, Kate Stables, Julien Baker and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. To coincide with the film's arrival, on the same day the Ohio group will release an accompanying EP that includes a selection of five tracks from the same performance. Check out the trailer and tracklist below.

‘The National: Live From New York’s Beacon Theatre’ tracklist:

  1. Rylan
  2. You Had Your Soul With You
  3. I Am Easy To Find
  4. Where Is Her Head

As we’ve come to know the National over the last two decades, we’ve also become familiar with the different facets of Matt Berninger’s appeal. If we were to split the frontman’s charm into thirds, to one side we’d have his lackadaisical, sometimes off-kilter delivery, in the middle his all-hell-breaking-loose animalistic shrieks, and to the other side his highly visual lyrical style.
