The New Power Generation To Celebrate Prince on December UK Tour

The New Power Generation have announced a UK tour.
The band, who served as Prince's backing band from 1990 to 2013, will celebrate the legendary musician at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the O2 Institute in Birmingham, Manchester’s O2 Ritz and the O2 Academy Glasgow between December 7 and 12. Tickets go on sale at 10am on August 30.
The funk and jazz group put out their latest full-length album with Prince, ‘Newpower Soul’ in 1998, and were replaced by 3rdeyegirl in 2013, before returning to work with him from 2015 until his death. The group contains a revolving roster of musicians, including MacKenzie, Morris Hayes, Tommy Barbarella, Levi Seacer, Sonny T and many more.
The New Power Generation also have a handful of European and North American dates planned for autumn.
