Pusha T Shares Kanye West-Produced Lauryn Hill Collaboration Coming Home

Thursday, 29 August 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Pusha T's has dropped another new single.

Coming Home is a slick track featuring Ms. Lauryn Hill that focuses on finding hope and triumph amid struggles. It boasts production by Kanye West, Charlie Heat and Mike Dean and marks the second new offering of the week from the Detroit rapper, following the release of the Kash Doll collaboration Sociopath, also produced by West.

Alongside the new single comes the launch of the Third Strike Coming Home Campaign with Brittany K. Barnett's Buried Alive Project and MiAngel Cody’s The Decarceration Collective. According to a press release, "The initiative aims to free people serving life in prison today under yesterday’s outdated three Strikes Drug Law."

Speaking to Ebro Darden, who premiered the new song on Apple Music's Beats 1, the rapper said:

"This record speaks to mass incarceration. It speaks to just giving hope to those who are coming home, and telling people who are locked up and behind the walls that we waiting on ’em and we’re gonna be a support system for when they get home."

Pusha T recently revealed via social media that he's in the studio, "recording a masterpiece, again", but unfortunately no further details were shared about the follow up to 2018's 'Daytona'.

Last year, meanwhile, Ms. Lauryn Hill celebrated her album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' with a 20th anniversary tour.
