Camila Cabello Releases Two New Songs Liar And Shameless

Thursday, 05 September 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Camila Cabello has released two new singles.

After a week of teasing her fans with a series of promos, Liar and Shameless have arrived. The former is a Flamenco-influenced pop track, while the latter is a grittier, more contemporary pop number. Both find the 22-year-old singing about temptation.

The tracks serve as the first preview of the former Fifth Harmony member's upcoming album, which she's confirmed will be called 'Romance', although further specifics have not yet been announced. She said:

"These songs are basically the story of my life the past couple years and the stories I’ve accumulated. I knew for a long time I wanted my album to be called 'Romance' because these stories are about falling in love."

The Cuban-American singer released her debut album, 'Camila', in 2018, while her latest offering came in the form of Señorita, a collaborative single with Shawn Mendes. She also appeared on the latest albums from Mark Ronson and Ed Sheeran.

Fri 09 Aug 2019
Lana Del Rey really has nailed her hazy, retro vibe and a nostalgic sense of sadness. Far from the usual feel-good factor of pop hits, the New York vocalist and songwriter has carved a niche for herself in the shimmery, summery genre of luxurious, melancholic songs that we like to call sadcore.

Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell! (Album Review)
Thu 05 Sep 2019
When Lana Del Rey’s Video Games attained viral status in 2011, it felt entirely plausible that her success would be a flash in the pan. Many critics (often male) derided her as a contrived, inauthentic pop star whose cinematic melancholia could not translate to long term appeal. Eight years and four albums later, they’ve been proven wrong about her longevity, and yet Del Rey’s multi-textured inauthenticity has flourished, and become a kind of defining brand. Sometimes you can be wrong and right at the same time.
