Blink-182 Release New Single I Really Wish I Hated You

Friday, 06 September 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Blink-182 have shared I Really Wish I Hated You, a cut from their new album.

The track leans more heavily on the minor scales to deliver the band's trademark anthemic pop-punk and echo the melancholic sentiment of the song. "You stitch me up but you can’t stop me bleeding out, I’m better when I’m broken, I love you but I hate you when you’re with someone else, and I want you wrapped around me but I don’t trust myself," sings bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus.

'NINE' is due to arrive on September 20 and follow up 2016's 'California'. The band, meanwhile, are currently on the road in the US with Lil Wayne for a co-headline tour, which will conclude on September 22 in Columbus, Ohio.

Tue 03 Sep 2019
Take it from Garth Algar: we fear change. We all do. It’s something that makes the longevity of a band like Less Than Jake deeply comforting. For almost 30 years the Gainesville outfit have been racking up the miles playing ska-punk tunes that have ricocheted from the heart of the zeitgeist to the outer rim of cultural relevance—and they don’t give a shit how anyone sees them.
