Turnover have announced a new album.

‘Altogether’ will arrive on November 1 via Run For Cover Records. The follow up to 2017’s ‘Good Nature' was written from opposite coasts of America.

"Instead of making things more difficult, being far apart helped us learn to appreciate each other even more," frontman Austin Getz said of the distance. "As a band, we're closer now than we've ever been before." He continued:

“On this record, more than in the past, we wanted to keep in mind the beauty of writing 'popular music’. By that I mean music for people who don't have the time to delve into the niches and find fringe artists, music for those of us who are busy with work or our families or whatever problems might be around. Music is real magic that can change people's days and lives, and the more people listening and loving, the better."

The record’s first two singles both incorporate elements of funk and jazz with tremolo guitar lines. Much After Feeling takes on a casual aesthetic inspired by the slacker vibes of Mac DeMarco, while Plant Sugar is more of an uptempo indie rock tune with a concentrated rhythm section.

The American band head to the UK this autumn for a run of headline dates, including an appearance at London's Mirrors Festival on November 2.
