Set It Off Reschedule UK And European Midnight Tour Due To Vocal Injury

Wednesday, 11 September 2019 Written by Helen Payne

Set It Off have rescheduled their upcoming shows.

The UK leg of the Midnight World Tour will now take place between April 8 and 17, 2020, stopping at Leeds’ Stylus, Glasgow Garage, the Waterfront in Norwich, Manchester Academy 2, Newcastle’s Riverside, O2 Institute2 Birmingham, Tramshed in Cardiff and Heaven in London, after a string of rescheduled European shows in March. All original tickets remain valid and are on sale now.

Vocalist Cody Carson stated he'd been “battling with a vocal injury” for the last several months and had to postpone the upcoming tour for necessary surgery.

“This breaks my heart because I never want to let you down. Just know that I will be OK, I will come back stronger than ever, and we have already drafted up some new dates to make it up to you. I love you and I will see you soon.”

The pop-rockers' tour is in support of their new album of the same name, which arrived in February, three years after the release of ‘Upside Down’.

Take it from Garth Algar: we fear change. We all do. It’s something that makes the longevity of a band like Less Than Jake deeply comforting. For almost 30 years the Gainesville outfit have been racking up the miles playing ska-punk tunes that have ricocheted from the heart of the zeitgeist to the outer rim of cultural relevance—and they don’t give a shit how anyone sees them.
