James Blunt Releases Third Single I Told You From Upcoming LP 'Once Upon A Mind'

James Blunt has released a new song.
The deeply moving I Told You follows the previously shared Champions and Cold in previewing the singer-songwriter’s sixth studio album, ’Once Upon A Mind’, which is out on October 25 via Atlantic Records.
Described by Blunt as a "hymn to his sons", the touching track is a message from a loyal father to his growing-up-too-quickly children. He said:
“Hymn is a great word. When I realised that things were going on at the older end of my family, with my father, I looked at my children and thought: these are things I need to say to you. We need to live every moment to the full, and celebrate the relationships we have. That’s what this song is about: it’s a celebration, with a dash of melancholy."
Blunt will celebrate the follow-up to 2017’s ’The Afterlove’ with a 2020 UK and European arena tour. Tickets are on sale now.
