Torres has announced her new album.
The follow-up to Mackenzie Scott's 2017 LP 'Three Futures' is called 'Silver Tongue' and will be released on January 31 through Merge Records, marking her first for the label. It is also her first record to be entirely self-produced.
The American singer-songwriter will support it with a spring European tour, including UK shows in Bristol, Manchester and London during March. Tickets go on sale from 9am on October 31.
Meanwhile, head below to listen to the album's opening track, Good Scare. It's a heartfelt, alternative electro-pop number. Scott said:
“Regarding ‘Good Scare,’ I guess I could say that falling in love is a lot like the Superman crawl. If you’re not familiar with Superman’s crawl, it’s a terrifying manoeuvre used in spelunking that’s only performed when certain passages are too narrow, so a person has to hold one arm against the body and the other above the head, all while trying to crawl forward. When you fall in love with someone, it’s scary like the Superman’s crawl, but you have no choice but to keep moving forward even though you have no idea what’s ahead of you.”
