Idles have shared a video for their live version of Television.

The track is from the Bristol punks' first live album, 'A Beautiful Thing: IDLES Live at Le Bataclan', which is set to arrive on December 6 via Partisan Records.

As the title suggests, it was filmed during their show at the Paris venue in December 2018. Speaking about the track and record, guitarist Mark Bowen said:

"Show #162,378 of 2018. The final show of the first Joy as an Act of Resistance Tour. We love playing live, every show, but there is a lot of bullshit that comes with touring so rigorously.

"There was an impending sense of freedom in the room. That night was catharsis in a bottle, a rage and camaraderie that can only be obtained by spending 3 and a 1/2 months on a bus/van with 8 other people you have already spent way too much time with.

"That can only be obtained by the presence of a receptive, understanding and respectful audience. That night felt as if everyone in that room was in it together. We had created something needed on that tour, by the five of us, our crew, anyone in that room that night or any other on the tour.

"We need, as much as any others, to repeat the simple mantras from our songs to help us work through the dark and get better. Love Yourself, love yourself, LOVE YOURSELF."

Idles released their second album, 'Joy As An Act Of Resistance', in August 2018. They embark on their biggest tour to date in December, which includes their biggest headline show so far at London's Alexandra Palace.

Although the average metal fan won’t exactly be in thrall to ‘90s romcom Jerry Maguire, it does contain a quote that’s pertinent here. At the conclusion of his passionately protracted monologue, Renee Zellweger famously tells Tom Cruise “you had me at hello.” Speaking with similar heart about this live offering, Stone Sour guitarist Josh Rand proclaimed, “We're extremely proud of the fact it's 100% live with absolutely no overdubs!”, before needlessly unveiling plenty of details about the release. Josh, you had us at ‘100% live.’
