Sam Fender Cancels Remainder Of UK And Ireland Tour Due To Illness

Sam Fender has cancelled the remainder of his UK and Ireland tour on doctor's orders.
In an Instagram post, the Geordie singer-songwriter explained he had laryngitis and that continuing to sing would risk haemorrhaging his vocal cords, which could result in him being out of action for months. He's been advised to take vocal rest for two weeks.
Fender had to cancel his second night at London's O2 Academy Brixton as well as shows in Cardiff, Bournemouth, Dublin, Belfast, Sheffield and Newcastle, where he was set to play two hometown shows at the O2 Academy. He hopes to reschedule the dates, with original tickets remaining valid, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
He already has rescheduled shows in Birmingham and Bristol in the diary for January and will hit the road for a UK and European tour in spring. He'll also open for the Killers at their London and Dublin shows next summer.
