Mystery Jets Reschedule 'A Billion Heartbeats' Release, Share New Track Petty Drone

Thursday, 23 January 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Mystery Jets have rescheduled the release of their new album.

'A Billion Heartbeats', which was originally due last year, will now arrive on April 3 through Caroline International. The record was postponed last September after vocalist Blaine Harrison had to undergo emergency surgery. Harrison said:

"Taking the past three months off to recover from leg surgery allowed me the time to get battle-fit and also work on some other ways of exploring the messages behind the album, which we will be revealing over the coming weeks.

"One of the most humbling parts of being a Mystery Jet is the understanding and support we receive daily from our fans, and we are so excited to get back out there and play these songs with more love and energy than ever before."

The band have shared new track Petty Drone alongside the announcement, a track the band describe as a kind of "psychedelic anger".

The new release will be accompanied by a rescheduled tour that kicks off on April 10 in Manchester. Tickets are on sale now.
