PennFest Rescheduled To 2021 Due To Coronavirus

Monday, 04 May 2020 Written by Laura Johnson

This year's PennFest has been rescheduled to 2021.

The festival was due to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2020, but has had to postpone the festivities due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Organisers said:

"Following on from our previous updates we just wanted to send a personal message to you at this difficult and challenging time and would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding.

"We have been waiting to see if we could make PennFest work later in the year and now feel that this is not possible.

"We want to provide you, our audience, with some certainty so we can now confirm that PennFest, which was scheduled for Friday 19th and Saturday 20th July 2020 will now be postponed to Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th July 2021 with the same great line up and venue. Unfortunately, just a year later than originally planned!

"We ask that we work together in these uncertain times as our focus is to help keep the live event industry afloat, and keeping hold of your tickets for future shows helps to make this happen.

"Our thoughts go out to each and every one of you.

"UK Live is an independent music festival company owned by the same two people who started Let’s Rock the Moor in Cookham, Berkshire over 11 years ago. We have worked hard over the years to provide a great product for a sensible price to many thousands of loyal festival fans. With your help we have also raised over £750,000 for charities since we started. Child Bereavement being one of our main charity partners, who you will always see floating around at the festivals, are very grateful to all that have contributed to this wonderful cause.

"We hope you can make the rescheduled event and your original tickets will remain valid so you don’t need to do a thing. If you can’t make the new postponed date for PennFest, each ticket will be transferable to any other UK Live event of your choice in 2021 or 2022. We are working closely with our ticketing partners and they will be in touch with you in the next 24 hours via email.

"If we don’t hear from you by Monday 18th May 2020 we will assume you can make the rescheduled date. We would like to say a huge thank you to you – our audience – for your loyalty and understanding during these exceptional times. The entire PennFest team including all the amazing artists, musicians, crew, backstage and volunteers have worked tirelessly with us to make sure we can still deliver an amazing event albeit later than planned.

"Please stay safe and we hope to see you all in 2021.
