Grace Jones, Mavis Staples, Gregory Porter Among First Acts Announced For New Kite Festival

The inaugural Kite Festival will take place in Oxford this summer.
The event will take over Kirtlington Park in June with an impressive musical line up, as well as talks and debates with a number of influential speakers, including authors and activists.

What? A multi-day festival held across seven stages, boasting an electic musical bill, as well as a stacked list of speakers.
Where? Kirtlington Park in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
When? June 12-14
Who? The first musical acts to be confirmed for the line up are Grace Jones, Gregory Porter, Mavis Staples, Dizraeli, Flamingods, Julien Chang, Oscar Jerome, Penguin Cafe, Sam Lee, Sasha Keable, Seun Keuti and Egypt 80, This Is The Kit, and Whyte Horses.
The first speakers to be confirmed for the festival are Alastair Campbell, Amber Rudd, Angela Saini, Bidisha , Bill Browder , David Lammy, David Miliband, Emma Freud, Helen Lewis, Jez Butterworth , Jon Ronson, Lemn Sissay, Marina Hyde, Paul Greengrass, Richard Curtis, Rory Stewart, Philip Pullman, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Susie Orbach, Thomasina Miers, and XR.
