Declan McKenna is back with more new music.
The indie-pop star has unveiled a video for The Key To Life On Earth, starring Alex Lawther of the TV show The End Of The F***ing World. The track, which rolls from a wonky, hook-filled verses into a massive chorus, is the second to be released from McKenna’s forthcoming LP ‘Zeros’, which is out on August 21 after being pushed back from its initial May slot.
“The Key To Life On Earth reflects on mundanity and hostility,” McKenna says. “I suppose it’s set in suburbia much like my hometown. The video sees two people, who are very similar, in conflict with each other, and I think that’s the simplest analogy for the song’s purpose.”
