The Dirty Nil Announce New Album 'Fuck Art', Share Doom Boy Video

Monday, 17 August 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

The Dirty Nil have announced a new album, 'Fuck Art'.

The follow-up to 2018's 'Master Volume' is due to arrive later this year via Dine Alone Records, although an official release date is still to be confirmed. It'll feature the newly shared single Doom Boy, which arrives with a video. Check it out below.

The track follows last month's Done With Drugs and finds the band fusing punishing thrash metal riffs with pop-punk-tinged melodies and a fist-in-the-air chorus for another super catchy slice of alt-rock. In a statement, guitarist and singer Luke Bentham said:

"Doom Boy is one of my favourite songs we’ve ever made. It’s an ode to chivalry and thrash itself, and yes, it’s my Mom’s Dodge Caravan. Crank the dial and enjoy, friends."

Of the video, he added: "[It] was without parallel the most dangerous video we’ve ever made. When we were told that all we had to do was return the 'shell' of the van to get half our money back, all hell broke loose. Between the roman candles, vintage mini bikes and minivan mayhem, I was quite surprised that we only had a few injuries by the end of the night. Do NOT attempt any of the antics performed in the Doom Boy video, you’ve been warned."
