James Vincent McMorrow Announces Spring UK and Ireland Tour

Thursday, 20 August 2020 Written by Huw Baines

James Vincent McMorrow has announced a UK and Ireland tour.

The Irish singer-songwriter is set to hit the road next spring, playing shows in Galway, Limerick, Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Bristol and Birmingham before two nights at the Olympia in Dublin. Tickets are on sale at 9am on August 28.

Head below to check out director David Helman’s video for his new single I Should Go, featuring Kenny Beats. McMorrow said:

“When we talked about this video, I said I wanted it to be belligerent, to not preach to anyone about anything. I just wanted to tell one person's story as they pursue a life they want, in a way that made sense to me, funny and chaotic and open ended.

“This video, to me, is about someone trying to find a world that makes sense to them, make the world bend to their vision of it. Sometimes in life that works out, sometimes it doesn’t. But if this year has taught us anything, it’s that nothing about the future is settled. When it comes down to it, when everything else gets taken away, all you're left with are the things in life that actually make you happy. Sometimes, you need Nicolas Cage.”
