Monica has returned with a new single.
A collaboration with rapper Lil Baby, Trenches makes for a smooth Atlanta link up with the R&B star singing about losing someone to the streets over dreamy production from the Neptunes. Press play below.
The track begins and concludes with verses from Lil Baby. It marks Monica’s first official single since 2019’s Commitment and Me + You, both of which were intended for her forthcoming ninth studio LP, ’Chapter 38’.
Her last full-length record, ’Code Red’, was released in 2015.
