Teyana Taylor Posts Video For Still

Thursday, 03 September 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Teyana Taylor has shared a video for her latest single, Still.

The powerful, self-directed clip addresses racial injustice and police brutality with graphic footage and stills from ongoing protests.

It also finds Taylor impersonating Black Panther Party co-founder Huey P. Newton and Malcolm X, as well as dressing up as victims of police violence, such as Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. She wrote in an emotional Instagram post:

"We are STILL emotional. We STILL keep fighting for love, justice. Yet we STILL keep losing our beautiful black lives. Where’s our healing?

"I shot this video a few months ago and it's crazy how to this day our cry for love is STILL so relevant today and plans to be for a very long time smh! WE DEMAND CHANGE!!!"

The soaring R&B track is taken from Taylor's recent LP, 'The Album', which boasts a star-studded cast of contributors, including Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and Quavo, among others.
