The XX's Romy Shares Debut Solo Single Lifetime

Tuesday, 29 September 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

The xx's Romy Madley Croft has shared her debut solo single.

Produced by Fred Again and Marta Salogni in London, the dancey, synth-driven Lifetime premiered on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show. The track arrives after the singer and guitarist for the xx revealed that she was working on solo material via an Instagram Live session in April, during which she also performed the track Weightless.

Both songs are expected to feature on her forthcoming debut solo album, which is yet to be announced. The xx's last LP, meanwhile, was 2017's 'I See You'.
