Kali Uchis Shares New Single La Luz Featuring Jhay Cortez

Kali Uchis has released a new song.
Produced by J Balvin and Tainy, La Luz finds the Columbian-American singer-songwriter linking up with Puerto Rican vocalist Jhay Cortez. It's a suggestive Latin pop Spanish language offering that unfolds over a laid-back dancehall beat. Expanding on the lyrics, Uchis said:
"La Luz is about the inevitable — that moment when you set your sights on someone and can’t wait to do everything freaky imaginable with them. I was so excited to make my version of a Latin pop song because there’s no other song like it on my upcoming album. I love Jhay and Tainy’s music so I was honored to get in the studio with them."
La Luz marks the second single to come from Uchis' forthcoming sophomore studio album, her first near completely Spanish language project. In August, she dropped the Rico Nasty collaboration Aquí Yo Mando.
