Beans On Toast will release two new albums in winter 2020.

In a livestream titled Back At Home With Beans On Toast last night (October 4), the cult folk artist, real name Jay McAllister, revealed that 'Knee Deep in Nostalgia' and 'The Unforeseeable Future' will arrive on December 1 via BOTmusic.

The former will comprise songs centered on positivity, fond memories and absolutely nothing to do with the coronavirus pandemic. It was produced by Frank Turner, who also plays on the record alongside guests Matt Hensley of Flogging Molly, Matt Nasir of Sleeping Souls, Guise and Anna Jenkins.

The latter, meanwhile, was recorded solo by McAllister with an acoustic guitar or piano at home during the COVID-19 lockdown period. It'll contain a series of social commentaries inspired by what he describes as the "shitshow that has been the year 2020." Pre-orders will come with an instant download of new song, No need to be Frightened.

To celebrate the records, as well as his birthday, Beans will play a one off, socially distanced show at the Clapham Grand in London on release day. The event will also be streamed live. Limited tickets are on sale now via Dice.
