Andrew Cushin Teams Up With Noel Gallagher For New Song Where's My Family Gone

Friday, 16 October 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Andrew Cushin has linked up with Noel Gallagher for a new single.

The acoustic guitar-driven Where's My Family Gone was produced by the former Oasis member, with the Britpop legend also playing guitar on the emotional track. It's anchored by a piano melody and a sweeping string arrangement.

Head below to check out the song's accompanying video that was directed by Dan Hepple and filmed around the rising star's hometown of Newcastle. Cushin said:

"I wrote Where's My Family Gone when I was in a dark place. I hadn’t been speaking to my family, or friends. I felt as though I had no outlet for the way I was feeling, and I wrote it in a little hotel room in Leeds before a gig. It started out as a darker track but the production that Noel has added to the song has pushed the track in a way that it’s now so much bigger and more uplifting. I can’t wait to play it live and see everyone’s faces when that colossal chorus hits."

Gallagher discovered the 20-year-old, who is now signed to Virgin Records, after hearing a demo of his previous single Waiting For The Rain. He made his debut back in February with It's Gonna Get Better.

Cushin will continue the celebrations behind the single's release with the second of three consecutive sold out socially distanced homecoming shows at the Gosforth Sports and Social Club tonight (October 16).
