Tim Burgess Shares Video For Title Track Of New EP 'The Ascent of the Ascended'

Tim Burgess has shared a video for the title track of his new EP.
'The Ascent of the Ascended' will be released via Bella Union on November 27 and will also feature the previously shared lead single Yours. To Be. among its six tracks.
The eponymous song finds the Charlatans frontman's delicate vocals sitting atop a frenzied indie-rock soundscape that crescendos to a rousing, yet ethereal finish. The clip, meanwhile, was directed by filmmaker Tim Pope, who is well known as a frequent collaborator with the Cure. Burgess said:
“The Ascent of the Ascended - it’s about where we want to be, compared to where we find ourselves and how to bridge that gap. I sent the song to Tim Pope and he said he’d be up for making a video, his ideas really captured the atmosphere. It was quite a moment for me - I am a huge fan of Tim’s. Plus I got to fly and have a set of wings.”
