The Offspring Post Festive Single Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

Thursday, 05 November 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

The Offspring have dropped a festive single.

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) was originally released in 1963 by Darlene Love. The revamp was produced by Bob Rock and finds the band delivering a punked-up take on the seasonal classic, complete with sleigh bells and choral backing vocals. Vocalist Dexter Holland said:

"It just seemed like the world could use a nice holiday song right now. We've always been huge fans of Darlene Love, so when the idea came up to do a Christmas song, we jumped at the chance to record that one…and tried not to wreck it."

The song will be available as a limited edition red 7" vinyl with an etching of the band's logo on the flip side.
