Bicep have released a new track.

Following Atlas and Apricots, Saku serves as the third preview of the Belfast electronic duo's forthcoming sophomore album, 'Isles', due out on January 22 via Ninja Tune.

Cast across a backdrop of reverberating synths and featuring the breathy vocals of Clara La San, Saku was largely inspired by '90s R&B and classic IDM according to the pair. They said:

"We aim to pull influences from a broad range of inspiration when we write music, our tracks often go through many iterations and directions before we settle on the final ingredients.

"Saku feels like a good example of a hybrid for us. We drew from IDM and Footwork via 90s R'n'B, and it was amazing to work with Clara who totally gets that vibe. One of the early demos was 155 BPM and another actually used the vocal from Apricots (before it became Apricots) pitched up. We also had a hang drum melody version but in the end we decided to keep Clara’s voice uncluttered."

Bicep's previously rescheduled date at Mayfield Depot in Manchester has been rearranged for December 4, 2021 in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. All tickets remain valid. They'll also play a hometown show and a gig at Dublin nightclub District 8 in the spring in between rescheduled European performances.

Bicep Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri March 26 2021 - BELFAST Telegraph Building
Sat April 03 2021 - DUBLIN District 8
Sat December 04 2021 - MANCHESTER Mayfield Depot
