Claud has unveiled a new single, Guard Down.

Following Cuff Your Jeans, the synth-pop track serves as the latest taster of the Brooklyn artist's imminent debut album, 'Super Monster', due out on Friday (February 12) through Saddest Factory, Phoebe Bridgers' label imprint with Dead Oceans. Other previously released cuts off the 13-track record include Soft Spot and Gold

Speaking about the new song, which was co-penned with Cameron Hale and Mary Weitz, Claud said:

"I have the hardest time opening up and letting my guard down. When I wrote this song, I had just found out somebody I had feelings for started seeing someone else and my immediate emotional response was to convince myself I didn’t care, even though I really did. The verses and chorus sort of make fun of how I keep myself closed off, but my rap towards the end of the song is a super honest stream of consciousness."

Claud is listed in Stereoboard's Ones To Watch In 2021 feature.
