Idles, Happy Mondays, Friendly Fires, Sleeper And More Set For Utilita Creation Day Festival 2022

The first acts have been announced for the inaugural Utilita Creation Day Festival.

Following its cancellation in 2021 due to COVID-19, the two-date event will debut at West Park in Wolverhampton between May 28 and 29, 2022.

Curated by Creation Records co-founder Alan McGee, the line-up boasts Saturday headliners Idles (pictured), and Sunday bill toppers Happy Mondays, along with Echo And The Bunnymen, Friendly Fires, Ash, Cast, The Wedding Present, Glasvegas, Sleeper, Echobelly, The Illicits, The Clockworks, Shambolics, and many more. Shaun Ryder will also perform with Black Grape. McGee said:

"I'm very pleased to be asked again by the City of Wolverhampton Council and Toura Toura Festivals to curate the Utilita Creation Day Festival 2022. It's great to see that most of the bands that missed out on playing due to covid restrictions this year, have all agreed to come back and play in 2022 with the fantastic addition of Idles."

What? A two-day festival curated by Creation Records boss Alan McGee.

Where? Wolverhampton's West Park

When? May 28 and 29, 2022.

Who? Idles and Happy Mondays will headline the Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Other acts set to perform include Echo And The Bunnymen, Black Grape, Friendly Fires, Ash, Cast, The Wedding Present, Glasvegas, Sleeper, Echobelly, The Illicits, The Clockworks, Shambolics, and more to be revealed in due course.

Tickets? Tickets go on general sale at 10am on September 10.
