We Are Scientists will return with their first new album in three years this autumn.

The follow-up to 2018's 'Megaplex' is called 'Huffy' and will arrive on October 8 via 100% Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have released the record's lead single, Contact High, a toe-tapping earworm rock offering. Singer/guitarist Keith Murray said:

"Love songs can easily be goofy and embarrassing, and so I sometimes have a hard time writing songs that are unambiguously romantic. Contact High really nails that heady rush of full-throttle infatuation for me, though, because it evokes my trifecta of mood-altering stimuli — dizzying romantic interaction, rousing music, and second-hand contact with psychoactive chemicals (in descending order of personal preference).

"It’s just nice to have a song that’s unapologetically sappy, but couched in distorted guitar and metaphors of coincidental intoxication."

Head below to check out the song, as well as the album's artwork and tracklist, which also includes the previously shared singles I Cut My Own Hair and Fault Lines.

The band will be playing their first show since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic at Brooklyn Elsewhere Rooftop on August 10. Head here for details and tickets.
