Peter Kay has announced two Manchester charity shows for this summer.
After three years away from the stage, the Bolton comic will perform two Q&A gigs — a matinée and an evening concert — at the O2 Apollo on August 7 in aid of Doing It For Laura and The Brain Tumour Charity.
Doing it for Laura, a charity set up for Laura Nuttall, said on Facebook: "Our beautiful 20-year-old Laura was diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme in October 2018 after a brain scan that showed six brain tumours. Laura was in her first term at Kings College London after getting straight A’s in her A-levels last August."
They added: "I still can't quite believe this is really happening! We are so incredibly grateful to Peter for this."
