Nile Rodgers And CHIC Announce Liverpool Pier Head Show For September

Nile Rodgers and CHIC have announced a show in Liverpool.
The disco legend and his renowned band will take over the iconic Pier Head on September 16 as part of the inaugural four-day On The Waterfront festival.
Support on the day will come from The Zutons and Rebecca Ferguson, with tickets for the concert on general sale at 10am on July 30. Rodgers said:
"The first song I ever learned to play on guitar was A Day In The Life by the Beatles so coming back to Liverpool is always very special to me. Coming back to Liverpool after living through the last 18 months makes it even more special. We can’t wait to have Good Times with all of you."
The Zutons frontman Dave McCabe added: "We can’t wait to do a gig especially with Nile Rodgers. He’s been the soundtrack to a lot of my life. It will be great to meet him in the flesh as well before we make our next album with him in September which I'm super excited about to say the least. It’s going to be a good one!"
In August, Rodgers will return to Custom House Square in Belfast, alongside outdoor shows at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Hampton Court Palace and Victorious Festival. He also has performances at Margate's Dreamland and Cardiff’s Alexandra Head in the diary for September, along with rescheduled gigs in summer 2022.
