Billy Bragg Shares New Single Ten Mysterious Photos That Can't Be Explained

Billy Bragg has released a new single, Ten Mysterious Photos That Can't Be Explained.
The cheery, jangly guitar-led track marks the second preview of the singer-songwriter and activist's upcoming 10th studio album, 'The Million Things That Never Happened', due out on October 8 via Cooking Vinyl.
With lyrics tackling the good and bad side of social media, the song finds the 63-year-old co-writing with his son Jack Valero. It comes with a black and white video capturing the pair working in the studio, and follows the previously unveiled cut I Will Be Your Shield. He said:
"I like my albums to finish with a stomper. My son Jack helped me out with this one. He's a pretty good songwriter himself, and when I played him what I had and he said it’s good but it needs some work. I said well you go and do it then. So he came back and he’d added a middle section and, you know what, he was right. I was really pleased. People have asked if there might be a ‘father and son’ album down the tracks. All I will say is you never know what the future might bring. Ten Mysterious Photos… is about life online, both good and bad. I try not to get sucked down too many wormholes, but it can happen."
Bragg will hit the road for a previously announced UK tour this autumn. Prior to that, he'll play a virtual show on September 9. Head here for details on the latter and below for further information about the tour.
