Volbeat Line Up December Release For Eighth LP 'Servant Of The Mind', Post New Track Shotgun Blues

Volbeat have announced their eighth studio album, 'Servant Of The Mind'
The follow-up to 2019's 'Rewind, Replay, Rebound' will arrive through Republic Records on December 3 and include the tune, Shotgun Blues.
Propelled by a heavy guitar riff, the track bores the hallmarks of Danish rocker's high-octane rockabilly abandon, with lyrics that explore ghostly events experienced by vocalist Michael Poulsen upon moving into a new home. He said:
"Every time you move into a house, you bring dead people with you. Weird stuff happens when I move into a [new] house… it's very otherworldly."
Over the summer, the band released two other cuts from the record — Wait A Minute My Girl and Dagen Før. They also contributed their take on Metallica's Don't Tread On Me to the thrash icons' monster covers compilation, 'The Metallica Blacklist'.
Commenting on the LP, Poulsen added: "I wrote the whole album in three months. I was in a good place and mood while at home, and had a captive audience of myself… There are a lot of Volbeat signatures in it. If you go back to the first record and compare it to where we are now, you can hear how the band has developed its style, while keeping the signature sound."
Volbeat will support the record with a 26-date co-headline US tour with Ghost early in 2022. Special guests will be Twin Temple, a satanic doo-wop band. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time today (September 24).
The band recently kicked off their Wait A Minute… Let’s Tour run yesterday in Orlando, Florida, their first US trek in two years.
