Reef Confirm Release Date For New Album 'Shoot Me Your Ace', Share Title Track

Thursday, 04 November 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Reef have shared details of their new album, 'Shoot Me Your Ace'.

Produced and co-written by former Duran Duran and Power Station guitarist Andy Taylor — now a fully fledged member of the band — the follow-up to 2018's 'Revelation' will arrive on April 15, midway through the West Country rockers' previously confirmed headline UK tour. Taylor said:

"I've been looking to make a record like this for a long time. I can’t love it enough. The chances you get in life to do something as great as this album don't come along very often, so when they do you just grab them."

Vocalist Gary Stringer added: "Andy has this deep love of playing rock 'n' roll music, and we had a chance to play with this amazing talent."

Bassist Jack Bessant commented: "The universe has put all the pieces into place for us. This line-up, these five guys, is just one big ball of energy that we managed to bottle. It feels like the start of a new chapter for us - Reef Mk II."

The group have also shared the record's artwork and tracklist, which opens with the up-tempo, guitar-charged title track. Press play below.
