Deaf Havana Introduce Sixth Album 'The Present is a Foreign Land' With New Single Going Clear

Monday, 24 January 2022 Written by Laura Johnson

Deaf Havana have announced their new album.

'The Present is a Foreign Land', the follow-up to 2018's 'Rituals' and 2019's 'Live At Brixton Academy', will arrive on July 15. Introducing it online, they said:

"We are so excited to share 'Going Clear' with you all and to announce our new record 'The Present is a Foreign Land'. So much hard work and love has gone into this album and we can’t wait for you to hear it. Thanks for sticking by us - it all starts now."

The record will be their first as a duo, with James Veck-Gilodi and Matthew Veck-Gilodi remaining following the departure of bassist Lee Wilson and drummer Tom Ogden. The band broke the news in November with a statement you can read below.

Head below to also check out the album's artwork and the video for its first single, Going Clear. The track's uplifting, melodic rock backdrop belies its dark and extremely candid lyrics about drugs and alcohol, delivered via a passionate performance from James.
