Everything Everything Release New Track Teletype

Thursday, 10 March 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Everything Everything have released another new track from their upcoming album.

Propelled by a fast-paced subdued rhythm, with glitchy electro sounds, Teletype serves as the opener of 'Raw Data Feel', due out on May 20 via the art-rock group's own imprint Infinity Industries/AWAL.

It follows the previously unveiled single, Bad Friday. Frontman Jonathan Higgs said:

"This song began in a very experimental way, with Alex and Jon sampling voice and guitar then putting it through a process that randomised each chord in a chaotic and glitchy rhythm. A very direct song, straight from the heart, with a fresh new openness that we felt was a good scene-setting for the record.

"The video consists of human faces that were completely generated by AI, singing the song. It also includes several grotesque experiments that didn’t work, where the machine thought it was making a person but failed."

The band will embark on a UK and Ireland tour later in March, supported by Do Nothing, Phoebe Green, Liz Lawrence and L’objectif.
