Miranda Lambert has announced her new studio album.
'Palomino' will arrive on April 29 via Sony Music Nashville. It marks the follow-up to country music star's collaborative 2021 album, 'The Marfa Tapes', and her first record under her own name since 2019's Grammy Award-winning 'Wildcard'.
Made with 'The Marfa Tapes' collaborators Luke Dick and Jon Randall, it features a cover of Mick Jagger's solo song Wandering Spirit, along with a guest appearance from the B-52's. Introducing it online, she said:
"This record takes you on a journey through songs. I hope y'all are ready to travel with us wandering spirits and meet some cool characters with great stories."
As a preview, she's released the track Strange, which builds from dusty, country blues to a rousing chorus. Check out the accompanying video below.
Lambert will tour the United States with Little Big Town on the co-headline Bandwagon Tour this spring. Tickets are on sale.
