Kid Cudi Posts New Single Stars In The Sky From Upcoming Film Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Friday, 25 March 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Kid Cudi has dropped a new single, Stars In The Sky.

The upbeat and wholesome, synth-led song serves as the only original track in the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog 2 film.

Produced by Take A Daytrip and Dot Da Genius, it includes nods to several of Cudi's past hits, and arrives with a video which incorporates footage of the new film, due to hit cinemas in the United States via Paramount Pictures on April 8.

Stars In The Sky marks the Grammy Award-winner's first new solo music since his 2020 seventh studio album and the third instalment of his 'Man On The Moon' series, 'Man On The Moon III: The Chosen'.

In February, he collaborated with Nigo on Want It Bad. In late 2021, he briefly featured in the Netflix film Don’t Look Up, performing the collaborative song Just Look Up with Ariana Grande. In June, he'll headline the Governors Ball in New York City.
