Sleater-Kinney To Celebrate 'Dig Me Out' 25th Anniversary With Star-Studded Covers LP

Monday, 11 April 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Sleater-Kinney will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their third album, 'Dig Me Out', with a new covers LP.

The release will comprise songs from the 1997 album re-recorded by St Vincent, Wilco, Courtney Barnett, Low, The Linda Lindas, Amanda Shires, Jason Isbell, Low, Margo Price, and Self Esteem, among others.

A release date and tracklist is yet to be revealed, though the band have confirmed it'll arrive this summer. They also announced that a portion of the proceeds earned from each copy sold will go toward SMYRC (Sexual and Gender Minority Youth Resource Center), a local LGBTQIA+ youth centre in Columbia County, Washington. Check out the group's post on social media below.

Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker released their latest studio LP, 'Path Of Wellness', in 2021, their first studio record in over 25 years without longtime drummer Janet Weiss, who left in 2019.
