Members of three of Seattle's legendary grunge bands have joined forces in a new sextet called 3rd Secret.

Led by former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, and Soundgarden and Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron, the six-piece made their live debut at a secret show at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture recently.

The supergroup is completed by Bubba Dupree of Void, Jillian Raye — Novoselic's bandmate from Giants In The Trees, and Jennifer Johnson.

The band have also surprise released their 11-track self-titled debut LP, which was recorded and mixed by renowned Seattle producer Jack Endino.

It comes after Novoselic teased the project back in February, writing in a now-deleted tweet: "I am really busy trying to finish a record. In the middle of some hangups — looking for a mid-March release. But it's a secret, so don't tell anybody!"

The record marks the first album Cameron and Thayil have worked on together following the death of Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell in 2017. Press play below.
