Drake Cancels Tonight's Toronto Young Money Reunion Concert After Catching COVID-19

Monday, 01 August 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Drake's Young Money reunion with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj in Toronto tonight (August 1) is to be rescheduled.

The Canadian superstar has revealed that the show—part of his October World Weekend: Road To OVO Fest Tour—will be rearranged after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The rapper confirmed the news in a statement posted to Instagram Stories, explaining that he'll reschedule the festival as soon as he tests negative, though he hasn't said when that could be. He wrote:

"I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for COVID and the Young Money reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible. I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked. Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the COVID)."

Drake's OVO Fest kicked off last Thursday (July 28) with an All Canadian Northstars show at History. The following day (July 29), Chris Brown and Lil Baby headlined at Budweiser Stage.

Drake surprise fans with the release of the dance album, 'Honestly, Nevermind', back in June.
