Metallica have shared a new track, If Darkness Had A Son.
Propelled by a galloping rhythm, the mid-tempo rager serves as the latest taster of the Bay Area pioneers' upcoming LP, '72 Seasons', which is due out on April 14.
Clocking in at seven minutes, it's the third early single from their 11th studio album, following Lux Æterna and Screaming Suicide. Head below to view the video.
To accompany the record's release, the band will embark on their M72 World Tour, which will see them performing for two nights in each city listed on their extensive schedule, for what is billed as a 'No Repeat Weekend': "2 Nights. 2 Different Sets. 2 Different Opening Acts. In the Round."

Prior to the tour, on April 13, for one night only, the metal icons will preview the record at cinemas around the world. As well as showcasing the album in its entirety, Metallica: 72 Seasons - Global Premiere will play music videos, along with exclusive commentary from the band.
