Bright Eyes Announce Final Album Reissues Of Companion EP Project

Bright Eyes have announced another round of album reissues and companion EPs.
The third and final wave comprises new editions of 2006's 'Noise Floor (Rarities 1998-2005)', 2007's 'Cassadaga', and 2011's 'The People's Key', which are all due out on June 16 via Dead Oceans.
Staying true with the project's theme, each album comes with a new "companion" EP featuring re-recorded songs from the original album with new artists, as well as a cover song. This time around, there's contributions from Johanna and Klara Söderberg of First Aid Kit, and Alynda Segarra of Hurray for the Riff Raff.
Check out new recordings of Middleman from 'Cassadaga', When You Were Mine from 'The People's Key', and Blue Angels Air Show from 'Noise Floor' below. Commenting on the series, Conor Oberst said in a statement:
"We are really excited about the final instalment of our companion EPs. It’s been an interesting journey revisiting and reimagining all of these old songs. 54 songs total seems ridiculous now looking back, but I’m glad we did it.
"This new batch includes great contributions from Alynda Segarra (Hurray For The Riff Raff), Johanna and Klara Söderberg (First Aid Kit), and an amazing cast of other fantastic musicians that brought these songs into the present tense. I hope all of the fun and neo-nostalgia we experienced recording these comes through to the listeners."
Bright Eyes have been reissuing their albums as part of a Companion series, starting back in February 2022 with their first three albums, and continuing with another three in August 2022. The band are currently touring the US.
