Pip Blom Detail Third Album 'Bobbie', Share Is This Love? Featuring Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos

Pip Blom have announced details of their third album.
The follow-up to 2021's 'Welcome Break' is called 'Bobbie' and will arrive on October 20 via Heavenly Recordings. It was produced by Dave McCracken, and finds the Amsterdam trio exploring more electronic, dancey territory.
To accompany the news, the band have dropped the single, Is This Love?, an indie-pop song featuring the instantly-recognisable vocals of Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos. The band comment:
"The nice thing about working with Alex, besides the fact that the atmosphere was really good, was that we both had quite different perspectives. Whereas I am a bit more rock by nature, Alex is a lot funkier. And that turned out to be the perfect addition for this song, both in the verses and completely in the chorus. Never before has such a funky Pip Blom song appeared, and we all absolutely love it."
The track follows the previously released song, Tiger, which will also feature on the record. Pip Blom will support the release with a UK and Ireland tour early in 2024. They'll also appear at Live At Leeds In The City this October. Tickets are on sale.
