Extreme Share New Single Other Side Of The Rainbow Ahead Of 'Six' Release

Extreme have shared a new single, Other Side Of The Rainbow.
Following the previously unveiled Banshee and #Rebel, the rousing acoustic rock track serves as the final preview of the Boston band's new full-length, 'Six', their first album in 15 years, due out this Friday (June 9) via earMUSIC. Frontman Gary Cherone commented:
"Every once in a while, we'll harness some kind of magic, and I think we did on this one. It's a universal theme. It's about restoring someone's faith in love...we feel that it’s the perfect marriage of lyrics and melody."
Guitarist Nuno Bettencourt added: "How do you play a blistering solo, making it feel like a rainbow? It's a groove we've never done acoustically. It's got my favourite guitar solo, it's an up-tempo, moving song."
Cherone, Bettencourt, Pat Badger and Kevin Figueiredo will bring their Thicker Than Blood Tour to Europe and the UK this autumn, kicking off in Newcastle on November 27, before stops in Glasgow, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Bristol and London, where they'll play the O2 Forum Kentish Town on December 4. Support will come from special guests Living Colour. Tickets are on sale.
They also have North American dates in the diary for August, followed by Australian dates in September.
